Ditte Fischer

Scandinavian simplicity is one of the characteristics of Ditte’s ceramics. With inspiration from Denmark, Norway and Iceland, Ditte Fischer has created her own aesthetics. The clean, understated idiom combines beautifully with discrete colour tones. The result is a collection characterised by a refined lightness and distinctive texture.

tradition for good craftsmanship

Skagerak

Skagerak is a Danish design company with roots deeply grounded in Scandinavian design and tradition for good craftsmanship. They are owned by Jesper and Vibeke Panduro, who live with their two children in the northern harbour city of Aalborg. This is where Skagerak was founded too, back in 1976, when the first dreams of making long-lasting design took form.

We know that Skagerak [ˈsɡæjɐʁaɡ] can be a little hard to pronounce; so allow us to explain what it means. From the northern tip of Denmark runs a strait connecting our little country with our Scandinavian neighbours: Sweden and Norway. That strait is called Skagerrak (with two Rs) – and historically it’s been a crucial factor in developing the Nordic region.

unique series of tableware

Annemette Kissow

Annemette Kissow founded “Keramik og Glasværkstedet” (Ceramics and Glass Workshop) in Copenhagen with a group of fellow graduates from the Danish Design school.

Since 1995 she has been operating both the shop and the connecting studio, where she designs and produces her unique series of tableware in both pure white and coloured porcelain.

Annemieke Boots

Being a very visual person, I can easily be inspired by nature – the textures, the shapes – the city, items I own or images from my favourite magazines, books and even talks. These impressions start to take shape in my head, giving me a certain image and feel. Sometimes I put this into a sketch, but it usually takes shape when I’m behind the pottery wheel.
